Is PahrumpPlumbers.com a plumbing company?
No. We're an independent advertising and referral service. When you call or submit a request, we connect you with a participating independent plumbing contractor. That contractor quotes, schedules and performs the work.
How do I check that a plumber is licensed?
Ask for their Nevada contractor license number and look it up on the Nevada State Contractors Board website (nvcontractorsboard.com). Plumbing is classification C-1, and subclassification C-1d covers residential water, drain and gas piping and water heating systems under NAC 624.
Do you list prices?
No. Plumbing jobs vary too much to quote online honestly. The plumber will give you a price after seeing the problem, and you can decline.
How fast can someone come out?
It depends on the contractor's schedule, the time of day and where you are in the valley. Tell us how urgent it is when you call or in the form, and ask the plumber for an arrival window.
What's the difference between a plumbing problem and a septic problem?
Plumbing is the piping inside and out to the tank or sewer connection. Septic is the tank and drain field. A backup can come from either. A plumber can clear and inspect the line to see where the problem starts. Tank pumping and drain field work are usually handled by septic contractors.
Can a plumber help with low pressure on a well?
A plumber can check the house side: fixtures, valves, filters, softener and pipe restrictions. If the problem is the pump, pressure switch or pressure tank, you may need a well pump contractor. Many plumbers can tell you which it is.
How do I keep pipes from freezing?
Disconnect hoses in the fall, insulate pipes in garages, exterior walls and well houses, keep manufactured-home skirting closed, and let a faucet drip on the coldest nights if a line is exposed.
Do I need a permit for plumbing work?
Some work, such as water heater replacement, repiping and new fixtures in additions, commonly needs a permit and inspection. Small repairs usually don't. Your plumber should know the requirements for your address.
What areas do you cover?
The Pahrump Valley (89048, 89060, 89061), with limited coverage in Amargosa Valley and other nearby Nye County communities. See the service area page.
Will my information be sold?
No. We share your request with the participating contractor so they can contact you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
